Buyin' an Oldy

Guys I'm buyin' a 1989 4/door civic, and I want to know could I use an 88 CRXsi head, and computer, and will it be an easy job??? I do plan on buying a more up to date car within a year after purchasing the house, oh!!! and I plan on keepin' my A/C so give me some ideals people or should just do a ZC swap?

read up on the dpfi to mpfi conversion.
is the tranny a 4 or 5 speed manual.
price the parts to the zc swap.
are you gonna go turbo?

it's a 5spd, and I had a qoute on the ZC combo, 900 750 for the engine, and tranny, an extra 400 for'em to install it, but since Ive poped my head off my Rex, and countless other things to I know my way around the engine etc... the only part that I'm scared of is the WIRING part Oh!! I don't think that price include the CPU for the ZC..

Re:Buyin' an Oldy

If your 4door civic is a DX, meaning DPFI (d15b2) there would be no reason to swap the d16a6 head on, the are the exact same 16valve head (same casting) Best thing to do, would be is swap the SI d16a6 cam & cam gear onto the DX head, along with a DPFI-MPFI swap, very easy to do.
