bushings

How hard is it to replace bushings in the rear LCA? Press needed?

Re:bushings

hydrolic press with large sockets will work... or you can just drop them off at any shop that does suspension repair for a nominal fee... or i meant to say an arm and a leg...

Re:bushings

no i have an 88 with the ball style strut mount. I got a rear disk setup from a 90 Si and it came with all control arms including the more popular fork style strut mount setup. problem, bushings look like complete ass. They're not centered, and all cracked.

On a side note. the big trailing arm bushing is got a few little cracks but is still kinda "rubbery". should I replace this one too or just use it?

it will be expensive, like lots of money ;D

Re:bushings

it won't be that much, but what are you're other options, buy a hydraulic press :-\ go ahead and spend the money to have it done before you put it all on and have to tear it down later to have them pressed out :-\

Re:bushings

try calling your local rental shops, thats what i did and i was able to press in/out all my bushings for 10bucks.
as far as the rear trailing arm bushing, ive been reading that its best to just stick with oem bushings, something that has to do with binding??
do a search on honda-tech...

Honda dealerships now sell the factory replacements, used to be you hd to buy a whole arm for about $300. The replacments cost about $35.
