building a mini me
so i was doing a burnout today and i spun a bearing... so i just picked up a D15 with the mpfi and i wanna toss my Z 6 head with suzuki pistons on it...
my questions.. 1. can i reuse the rod, main and head bolts if i just retorque them a little tighter than stock and use loc tite blue? 2. will the D15 botom end rev to 7200 just as easy as the Z6 bottom end? 3. will the D15 water pump and oil pump work with my Z6 timing belt and cam?? 4. thanks lol Travis |
Re: building a mini me
1.)yes but not recommended, just get ARP bolts. good investment!
2.)i believe the D15 cant rev up to 7200 like the z6 can. 6500-6800 tops 3.)use the same timing belt as the head when doing a mini me, stick w/ d15 water pump & oil pump make sure to remove oil jets |
Re: building a mini me
i don't think the vitara pistons will work the pistons will stick out from the block i think...unless it's a JDM d15

Re: building a mini me
im just gonna throw the stock stuff back in.. its all good.. im gonna use this as a replacement and just rebuild the Z6 with TT rods and vitara pistons.. over the winter.. then she'll be ready for 15 psi next spring
