broken pistons
i have a set of srp pistons that were on stock d16 rods and i wanted to remove them. i got them back today from the shop and they have scuff marks and one is cracked.
he told me before i gave them to him that there was no guarantee so i said ---- it, just do it. anyways my question is, do the scuff marks really make a difference? |
Re:broken pistons
Ummmm...one is cracked? :-X Got any pics of the scuff marks? :-\
The machine shop I use has a big sign that says "Machine work done at customers risk". The guy is a ------- badass machinist though. I have yet to have any problems. Just the other day I got my LCA's back from him and he cleaned them all up for me like new. :) __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |

Re:broken pistons
well, when you buy aftermarket pistons your supposed to sand the tops down of all sharp edges.with wet sandpaper.every good engine builder knows this.

Re:broken pistons
post pics.
The only thing I was told is not to use the wrist pin locks over. They said it's almost impossible. (spiral locks) I'd say sand them down and throw em in. Your on homemadeturbo now. ;) |
