ok so i put in new rotors and pads. no when im not braking or full throttle theres a high pitch noise and a clunking sound... wth did i do wrong???

buy the $.99 ---- for the back of the pads. make sure the pads are on correctly. did you bleed the lines, compress the piston?

if he didnt compress the piston he couldnt put in the new pads..... and you only have to bleed the lines if there is air in them, he didnt change the cal;ipers

i put the lube ---- on the pads to calipers, i just now found my other ---- that said u can use on all contact points... but what would a lil lube from pad to caliper cause this ---- ???

make sure all the little metal bracket that goes on the end of the pads are still there. and make sure ur caliper bolts are tight :l i don`t see how lube will stop "clunking" noise, it will prob.ly quiet it down quite a bit but make sure nothing is loose.
Once i bougth some 18 dollar brake pad for the maxima and it keepso n making these knocking/clunking noise. Turns out the el cheapo pad was about 1/8 of an inch too short and rocks around :l

damn that sucks... i paid decent money for them, they are bendix and it was a tight fit.. ill check over everything in a bit...thanks though
