Brake Pads....Which to use????

Now that the hatch is turbo I need to upgrade my brakes. They have been in need of replacement for a while anyways so I figure it's time to do it now. I purchased some cross-drilled rotors from Egay already, the guy said they were brembos, and had the box in the picture, for $90. Now for brake pads, I was told to get the green stuff pads. What do you guys think?, What do you use? ??? ???

any high performance pad will be better than what you had. Also the brembo's you purchased are 99% likely to be brembo blanks that were then crossdrilled, not recommended at all. A lot of companies do that, they buy the cheap brembo rotors, drill and/or slot them, and sell them as high performance. Brembo will not recommmend them at all. A set of rotors and pads from EBC will make you very happy.

Or if you dont wanna go EBC, you might just go with the carbon/metallic? ones you get from the parts store. They run about $40-$50, but are a marked improvment over the standard pads. I was happy with mine, you still get fade, but can pull off 2-3 high speed stops till it shows.

I use hawk carbon-metallic with power-stop cross drilled rotors (power stop uses brembo blanks and drills them). All i can say is there is a noticable change in stopping power. Some ppl say hawk pads squeel, but i have had no problems so far. When i installed them i just made sure the back of the pad and caliper piston was coated with a thin coat of high temp greese thats specially made for use on disk brakes.
