Blown Head gasket?

Hey I have a JDM B16a SiR II motor in my 92 Civic Hatch and i was wondering what is the sign of a blown head gasket on the engine? Well, I probably think my car overheated and i didnt know about it. It's probably due to the small stock civic radiator. I probably need a larger radiator. But I'm worry it might block the way of the turbo.

But i open up my radiator and started the engine. The water seems to be not stable at all. It keeps on splashing out the radiator. And the water goes back down and repeat the same process. And sometimes during idle the rpm seems to be not stable. It goes up and then goes down. Is that a sign of blown head gasket? And how hard is it to change it?

Is there smoke coming out of you exhaust???
If you are loosing coolant or oil..than you prabably blew a gasket. is the coolant dirty with oil??
If there is one of these things than you blew the gasket.
The small civic rad is good enough IMAO.
I swapped a halve sized aluminium civic rad with my big copper crx rad and the civi rad kept my temp 50 degrees lower. :o

Another sign I have seen through my many blown HG's was also little bubbles in the coolant.

well the only bubbles i see is huge bubbles that splashes out the radiator. No white smoke coming out of my exhaust. No oil in my radiator.

imadouche: I'm not willing to sell it for $100 LMAO. I probably planning to do B20VTEC if the head gasket really blew.

I had a hard time telling when my head gasket blew. It did the same thing your does though. After it ran for about a minute the water came out like a volcano. I took the valve cover off and found quite a bit of water that I couldn't see on the dipstick or under the radiator cap. Sneaky bastard. >:(

how much do it cost to get a mechanic to change the headgasket?

They would rape you and throw you in the gutter wet. I hate mechanics. My uncle is a mechanic and I hate him too. He rapes his own family. I love it when something goes wrong with my car and he asks "How did you get it fixed?" and I'm like "I fixed it." :P

is it true that i have to get the engine resurface?

Haha, that's funny that you asked that. I would get it done if I were you. I had my head resurfaced thinking the block was good to go and I was wrong. The block was warped. It was leaking into the number one cylinder very bad. If you are lucky and it hasn't overheated you could probably get away without it.

My number one cylinder:
