block notching?

what is the benifits of block notching and has anyone drilled the holes on the bearings to match the crank oil holes?

Block notching allows you to use bigger rods. I don't think there is another reason for it.

Be advised, not only do you need to notch the block with Eagles, but you should with Crower I-beams as well, as the block heats/expands you need to make sure there is enough clearance there, I notched my ZC block just incase.
