Fuck a blockguard

My cylinders warped from overheating. This caused me to blow several gaskets and throw many a tools. I highly recommend NOT using a blockguard. Let's think about this for a second.

Your main intention of installing the blockguard is to protect your cylinders in the case of a mishap or overload of pressure on the cylinders. Do you really think that this piece of aluminum is going to save your motor in the event that your cylinders are under so much pressure that they want to break apart? You also need to take into consideration that this blockguard is a direct block in your coolant system which keeps the cylinders cool and keeps detonation to a minimum. Now you have this piece of aluminum "resting" on the outside of the cylinders which is not only blocking the coolant and slowing it down, but it is touching the cylinder keeping coolant from efficiently cooling the cylinders down. Add these negative factors in and you have defieted the purpose of using the blockguard in the first place. Not only that, but if you are running so much boost that you feel you need cylinder wall reinforcement, why would you want to risk using a part like this? You get what you pay for.
