Best setup for a CRX?

What would be the best setup for my CRX? I'm not going to do an engine swap for a while but I want to get my act together and decide. Some have told me to go old-school and try and make a D16Z6 fast. Some have told me to do the unthinkable and drop an H22 in. I personally don't have a clue what to do. What engien would not only have good horsepower, but good torque as well? I know these engines don't put out much torque but is there one that has a nice equal balance of the two? Help me out if you can.

What's your budget?
Street, Strip or Track?
Naturally Aspirated or TurboCharged?

make a HMT setup...cheapest way to go for the most gains.
Best bang for the buck

yeah if your getting a swap and stayin NA dont waste your time just go turbo and is you have a SI just turbo the stock motor its a pretty good motor stock. h22 will cost more than 1200 you need mounts and ---- but if you can get a h22 for that much id do it then turbo it that thing would fly.

$1200?

You can pretty much rule out a swap. B series motors are mucho deniro($) and H22s need custom mounts($).

Time for the boost baby.

Turbos, IMO are the single best bang for the buck upgrade for any car.

Limited fund$?

Start with the basics: Exhaust manifold, Turbo, Fuel pressure regulator, piping (intake and exhaust) and your pretty much good to go.

Keep the boost low, say 4-6 pounds.

Want more? Install an Intercooler. And start to monitor your motor with the proper gauges (Boost/AirFuel etc...)

Want more? Upgrade the fuel system and turn up the boost.

Want more? Upgrade the Connecting rods and go with lo-comp pistons and turn up the boost.

Want more? Get a bigger turbo and repeat the cycle until motor breaks cause your a now a boost junkie ;D

The Boost Beckons!!!

Definitly turbo!!

Boost and air fuel guages should be in the first step though.

the h22 is gonna be heavy, your probly not gonna want it for normal driving, althought boosting it would make it ------ fast. If your considering a b series, you could MAYBE squeeze in a ls motor, but then u cant boost it till later. id say keep it d-series and give it boost
