i have had a crx run pretty good with bent valves after i snapped a timing belt. but tyo replace them you need to remove the head and and just replace them. what happened to bend the valves

i was racing a another civic haha and i went to shift to third i think i was goin about 65 when i shifted and i heard a pop and smoke jus filled my car, i can get it to idle but i have to keep my foot on the throttle or it will die,

izzyef8 05-10-2009 11:55 AM

just replace them or you can throw a vtec head on for the same price as all the valves that are bent possibly

92hatch-eg6 05-12-2009 10:44 AM

clovis NM 88101

silvertc 05-12-2009 01:54 PM

ha ya, if it was smoking it could be worse, seals, or the rings blew....

92hatch-eg6 05-12-2009 01:58 PM

if thats the case is there anything i could do to get it running again

silvertc 05-12-2009 02:07 PM

honestly, you wont know until you tear it down to see whats actually messed up, broken, or bent. D-series you should be able to buy for cheap, atleast where i live in ohio you can get a d-series for cheap. It would be better than trying to rebuild one....

92hatch-eg6 05-12-2009 02:31 PM

ya but its a pain in the ass finding one in clovis

92hatch-eg6 05-12-2009 02:36 PM

any websites that sell stock motors?

Scott-EP 06-01-2009 12:38 PM

There are tons that sell JDM engines but your best bet is to just find oneon craigs list or a local forum. You will save a ton of money that way

92hatch-eg6 06-02-2009 10:27 AM
