Bad Headgasket??
was gonna pick an 91 integra up at an auction today but i look like oil was coming from between the valve cover and top of block. I could see some oil build up on the manifold.
You think this would be an easy fix or should i just go ahead and pick up the civic hatch with the SOHC any help is appreciated before the new project car buy :) |
Re:Bad Headgasket??
Head gaskets are cake to change. Besides, alot of Hondas have a tiny oil leak from the head(ones that I've seen anyways). It might not even need a head gasket. Buy that fucker. ;)

Re:Bad Headgasket??
I completely agree, if its running right....(no knocking, pinging, etc) no biggie..
Check the oil for water and water for oil....if it all looks good i say go for it... |

Re:Bad Headgasket??
with the dohc, it could be that crappy stock cam cap. i've seen leaks there numerous times.
if its the headgasket, no problem. maybe they reused the old one and didnt torque it properly. but then again, maybe the head is warped. or maybe the rings are gone. awww man. you better not buy it! hahaha. just messin. |
