Default B20/VTEC or B18A Bored out to 84mm??? Tell me what cha' guys think???

Which scenario would have thicker cylinder sleeves in the end? I've heard that the way Honda makes the B20 they have very thin sleeve walls between cylinders, I'm not sure if this is true or not But It's also been mentioned to me that for a Frank motor it would stronger to bore out a B18. Let me know what you "knowledgable" ones know about this. Thanks

Well, why can't you take an LS bottom and put a VTEC head on it? ---- the B20 with the thin sleeves. Turbo that LS VTEC and then you will have something to talk about. Good Top End, Nice Torque, What more could you ask for?

well is this gonna be n/a or boosted. n/a id find a b20 block. i mean rod/stroke ratio of either block isnt the best, but i think id roll a b20 all motor for sure.

if i was you, id try to find a b18c if you use either of the aforementioned obviously some arp rod blots, but you know that, you already built and blew , melted 10 of them so, id go b20 all motor b18 for boost

Well, i guess if you are concerned about the cylinder walls, then i guess you are going boost. Could be wrong.

yeah, giv'in this one to Hot Rex. I've got a machinist Hook-Up that can bore out the junkyard cheap B18 to 84mm for free, so that's pretty tempting. I'm gonna try for 12.3:1 All Motor with possibly about 75-or 100 shot if the cylinder walls would take it but not sure about that. Thanks guys.. your right on that one Rex, this will be the 5th build......
