b18b question

wassup guys i have a 91' integra LS and ive read that its suppose to have the b18a1 motor in it. i bought this car not to long ago and they said they replaced the motor and they never told me it was a b18b motor and not a b18a motor like it should be. so my problem is that the motor mounts are bad on the car and i was wondering if i get motor mounts (not including the brackets) would i have to get the b18b mounts? or the b18a mounts since my car is the 91? http://www.prostreetonline.com/oem/w...ionType=Manual

theres the link for what im tryint to get. so yea if anyone can help me please HELP :y

Re: b18b question

get some polyurathane and fill your old mounts up. it will get those stiffer mounts you should want and need.

Match it to the car the a and b motor should mount the same into that chassi, but you could save you sel some money and buy es mount inserts or fill them with window weld, the inserts are about $40 and work with even if the mount is ripped apart, not to dificult to instal with some time an patients

Re: b18b question

oh alright cool. because i mean ive been posting and posting shiet on honda-tech.com about motor mount inserts and ive always been asking about if they work with ripped mounts and they never seem to give me the answer im looking for. they just tell me to go out and buy whole new motor mounts. so yea i was wondering if these ES motor mount insterts work great? have any of you had experience with them? should i first fill the mounts with that window stuff? or would i be able to just put those inserts in and it would be okay to drive. because i dont have time for me to wait for those to dry.

Re: b18b question

Yea you can just throw in the inserts and you'll be fine, we put them in my friends 3g teg and he said it made a big difference, we actually ripped the center out of the rear mount to make it wasier to install the insert, that one is a pain to do by the way, might be easier on the 2g tegs but usually isn't, inserts are your best option just get them and make some time to install them cause you'll need it for that back one ;)

They run the mounts for your 91 DA chassis, the B18A1/B18B1 themselves are identical.

Poly inserts are the best bang for the buck. They normally only sell front/rear inserts... if your side mounts are that badly worn fill with shoo-glue or low durometer poly caulk.
