Default B18B homemade turbo Q's

I'm new to the world of building homemade turbo kits and I want to make one for my Civic B18B hybrid. I've been building all motor cars for a while now but want to try out the boosted side. I understand that the LS motor can hold 6-8 lbs. daily driver and that's what I want to use mine for. Can anyone recommend what I should use? I have access to a COMPLETE Merkur Turbo setup that's like new, an older Subaru turbo that has no shaft play, and a COMPLETE setup to a turbo Probe. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well my best advise is just keep reading through the site.. I understand you are new but things will pick up quick.

To answer your questions quickly..

Yes the LS can take a fair amount of boost, but it really needs good fuel managment (we talk about fuel management alot in our forced induction section) lots of different setups, I personally think the AFC type hacks with larger injectors is the way to go. Its safe and will easily support 10psi.

For the turbo, See if you can get the merkur turbo setup, they have pretty large T3 turbos.

Good luck!
Jeff

btw, this should be posted in our FI section
