B18A motor swap DONE! shitload of pics (56K users grab a snack)...
as some of you may know i am putting a B18A1 (USDM) engine and tranny in my 88 CRX HF. here are some pics and commintary on the swap...

PR4 + FI 160% boost comp, .7 retard, 450s etc (no im not boosted) http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...7/fb695533.jpg the 91 teg "A1" tranny i got from onyx, not too many missing or broken parts ::) http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...6/fb695534.jpg ;D my T3 .63ar exhaust housing that will be going on the B18. not sure what happen to the pic of the rest of it... anyway thats about it. oh here is the info on my setup: 88 CRX HF 90 B18A1 (USDM) 91 teg A1 tranny 90-93 teg non-ABS axles/inter. shaft stock header Greddy SP exhaust Cold air intake Zdyne SECU Gold w/450s running PR4 tune all gay vacuum lines and ---- they connect to gone, just what is needed (boost gauge, MAP, FPR, PCV) |

my guess is that on the hf harness the tach wire is on a different pin then the b18a harness..

what color is the tach signal wire on the LS? on the HF? |

oh and if the pins are in a different spot something else is in the wrong spot then, wouldnt that throw a code?

ya double check that u even have it hooked up ;)
im sure that there are un-used pins on the main harness plug... do u have a tachometer guage? (not the cluster, more like an ohm meter/voltage meter?) hook that directly up and see. |

i just took the cap off and its got all the connectors on the ignitor. both of the plugs on the dizzy are plugged in. and the dizzy plug is wired the same as my other HF harness. i dont think i have a tachometer, but i will check...

wow dustin you did the b18a swap like you said youw would....i havent been around for awhile so i dunno whats goin on. looks good though, but not quite as good as my b16 :) j\k

hey man, can you take a picture of the tps for me so I know where to look for it on my b16, and can you also take a picture of the intake mani and color the lines in paint and tell me where all the vacuum lines went? if you could that would be great. UW tuition is about $26,399 a year, so if I can find alot of good scholarships and maybe rob a bank or have one of my parents win the lottery I'll be going there.

Jeff is already trying to get me to put a VTEC head on it :-\ vaccum lines?? i have the MAP, boost gauge, FPR, and PCV hooked up thats it, the rest are capped (i can take a pic later). hell yeah, b18a's are the ----, i got one in my integra, give that motor the finger for me too ;), man with that motor a clutch intake and open headers, and massly stripped i ran a 15.00 they are awsome, and it had 250,000 miles on it ;D
