b18 bottom end tapped for vtec head
i was wondering if you could still put a b18b head on top of a b18b block when the block has been tapped to fit a b16 vtec head. i have never dealt with one of these blocks that had that done, so i leave it up to the pros. let me know what you guys think. thanks.

Re: b18 bottom end tapped for vtec head
"First things is getting the head prepped for the Vtec install, We used a Ridge Remer to enlarge the down pin alignment holes for the B18b block. " so do i have to make them smaller again?

Re: b18 bottom end tapped for vtec head
All the machine work is normally done in the head itself. Holes for the dowel pins are enlarged in the head, and the rear oil drain hole is tapped and plugged in the head as well.

Re: b18 bottom end tapped for vtec head
all that you do for the block is pull out the allen key plug in the rear passenger side of the block next to the thermostat, you could use the ls head if you just plugged that up. other than that everything is done on the head and the block isn't touched
