B16a2 Into OBD1 Civic

My buddy can get a real sweat deal on obd2 b16 swaps. He works at a junk yard and says there is 3 of them there. He will get us everything from the motor, trans, linkage, axles, harness. complete, A buddy of mine says we wont need anything extra to put it in my hatch. But i have herd that you need mounts, and differnt axles, and a obd2 to obd1 converstion harness. He says its all direct fit except the wiring and it just takes a while to wire it. Before we do it i wanna make sure we dont need anything else cuase i dont want to be stuck out a car while im wainting for ---- i didnt get.
Thanks

you will need b series mounts and axles if you have a d series in it right now
and you can get the obd2-1 harness right here

Keep it OBD1. You can chip the current ecu in the civic. No need to make things more complicted and expensive than they need to be.

It is pretty much bolt-in. Just a little wiring.

yeah for real, converting to OBD2 would be useless and a pain in the ass. You'll need the rear T bracket i believe from an integra (although i may be mistaken), you'll need B series axles, and i believe the timing belt mount will have to come out of an integra as well. Oh and don't forget about the shift linkage as well, that too has to come from an integra.

Those are the basics, there are other little things you my need, but basically mounts, axles, and shift linkage. Your D sereis harness will work but you'll have to move the vtec solenoid wire and the vtec pressure wire, and maybe a few others. Plus you may have to rewire the alternator, and you'll have to re-wire the distributor. But it's not as complicated as it sounds.

You are only going to need the rear bracket from any 3rd gen teg. The upper trans bracket is the same and since it is from an EM1, the driver's side engine bracket will be the two stud version which is the same configuration as the SOHC motor.

Try to get the axles with the motor.

yeah that all sounds about right with the mounts. as for wiring you will need to use your factory obd1 wiring. just repin your dist. and fuel injectors and your set to go the whole swap is very basic

Just talked to him today and he says the b16a2 is gone, they have one b16a3 swap left, same price. Pretty much bolt in as well?
