B16A with LS pistons?
k, does anyone think this is a bad idea or wont work? just trying to get some feed back here. the idea is that when i turbo my B16 that i will burn the ringlands off, or that the rings will be bad to begin with (have a friend that this happened to) so i should get new ring to 'freshen up' the engine. but if the compression is at 10.2:1 i will probly destroy them anyway, so i was thinking of putting the LS/PR4 pistons in (like a 9.2:1 in the LS motor) then it will be a little more detination resistan and i can boost more. am i making sence? hope so...
no im not going to buy forged pistons, SO DONT SUGGEST IT!!!

no no no, the ls pistons are too low of compression for the B16a, I am pretty sure its like 8.6 or so with pr4 pistons in a pr3 block/head.
You will be fine, just run 6 psi, and keep the timing respectable and you wont break any ring lands.

Re:B16A with LS pistons?
There's a girl in my car club (Team Sol Co) with a 94 vtec del sol that is pushing a stock b16 motor... at 9 psi, it is with the turbonetics kit...
She's even running rich enough to dump sparks out the exhaust, and the motor still isn't detonating. Last I knew she was around 95,000 miles to...
So I wouldn't worry to much about detonation

---- Jeff is right about 8.6:1, damn!
anyone know where i can get some 92-93 GSR pistons? that would be ~9.0:1...
