The only reason I'm keeping the tranny is because those long gears should be real nice with my t3/t04e.

 

I can hit 35 in first. and 90 in third at about 5000 to 5500 rpms.

j1 s1 and y1 trannies all work with b16 right?

 

Yes... all B series trannies interchange. The only difference is in the input shaft splines, and that is:
90-91 trannies are not the same as 92-2000 trannies, so the disk may need to be changed to be compatible with the tranny.

holy crap on the face, leave it to the new guys to bring posts back from the dead. my y1 does 4500 at 80 in 5th. I'm pretty sure it's a y1 because my engine number starts with a 5 and the y1 axles I got from raxles seem to be working.

 

Damn, only 4 months old. When I see ---- like this I always expect some sort of ingenius post or something really important, but I am always let down with soemthing like "lol" or "Nice".
