b16 problems

b16 problems
ok well here it goes....
i was driving my stock b16 crx down my gfs street at about 20 mph then out of nowhere it goes POP pop pop. i push in the clutch and it just dies out. the first thing i noticed is that i thought i smelled a mix of oil and fuel.. i thought it blew up. so the first thing i do out of instinct is try to start it back up. i go for it and it sounds like its normal but it just didnt want to fire up. so i push it to her house in the dark and look at the timing belt it was intact and timed corectly. so the next thing i looked for was spark. i did the whole pull a plug ground it and let it arc deal. it looked fine exept that the spark was a dimmer yellow/ orange spark. i crank it over again and i had the plugs off and i smelled plenty of fuel, i also did the screw driver test to c if they were all clicking and they were. so now that ive checked every thing it left me to think i should start with the weak link the spark. i took off my dist. cap and sure enough that lil coil conecter thing was snapped. i bought a new cap and it did the same thing. so now im wondering what all should i change / check.
so today i asked around and i found a dizzy i could try and use. im not sure if itl work its off of a 1991 ls integra.i kno im going to have to redo the wiring but thats no biggy. does any one kno if that will fit.
