b16 in HF, non engagement of vtec issues

ok, i did my b16 swap a year ago....
no real problems save one...it has NEVER gone into vtec without me manually flipping a switch..
would it just be a senor problem? or what? any ideas?
the wiring is PERFECT and couldn't have done better if it came from the factory like that.

Is your speedometer cable plugged in and working?

what kinda shape is you're motor in? there are something like 27 check's the ecu goes thru before vtec engages, I'm not gonna list all of them, but their are thing's like oil pressure, engine temp, etc. the ecu you are using doesn't matter, the vtec wouldn't engage even with a switch. I really would bet you have pinned and spliced wires wrong, but who know's. pull up a code diagram, and see what your ecu's saying.

From that i would say he means the only way it goes into vtec is w/ a switch, thats why I asked what ecu.. ;)
