b16 a dristirbutor problem

I'm swapping a b16a1 obd-0 into a 91 civic STD, my question is what to I have to do to convert the round plug off the b16a dristributor to work with the square dristributor plug on the std, any help would be appreciated.

Re:b16 a dristirbutor problem

Man i would figure someone else would have came across this problem also, since nothing is said about it in the

mainstream writeups for the swap. Anyway here is some info for anyone else who has this problem. The dx wiring harness

has a square distributor plug with 5 wires the Si harness and B16 harness has a circle distributor plug with 7 wires

the extra 2 are for the cylinder posistion sensor C1 and C2. If you look at the wire colors from the round plug and

the square plug they match up so all you have to do is swap the circle plug onto the dx harness to make it work. To do

this push up on the plastic tab on the front of the male plug(the one connected to the harness) and the pins will

pull right out. Swap the pins color by color one at a time so you dont get confused. There are two wires that are

solid white but you can tell them apart because one is thicker then the other. Once you have the pins swapped then

you can cut and solder on extra wire for C1 and C2 I believe C2 is blue/yellow and C1 is the other. Hope this

helps anyone in my situitation
