b16 but they are very similar. Whatever you can get cheaper would be my choice.

a local shop here :cough:RPM, eastside imports :cough: said a B16 tranny would knock a full second off my 1/4 mile time over an LS tranny.

::smack:: this is how some people make there living, by lying to other people. the sad part is people believe them.

(correct me if im wrong)
either one is good. although, i think the LS tranny has a higher g/r so at 55-60mph you would be running at higher rpms, meaning it wouldnt take as long for the turbo to spool, you would also be close to the power band.

i clearly see both as great candidates. the ctr/b series vtec trannies are really popular among the pros. look around....turbo or none turbo...they still run high gear ratios w/ 4.5-4.7xx finals. BUT i've also seen many very nice turbo setups w/ ls trans running great times. depends on the $ and opinions i think.
