b-series throttle body on D16Z6
hey everyone this is my first post on this site i have been looking around and there is alot of good information here and i want to put a b18b throttle body on my Z6 manifold i have read alot of posts saying that it will work but dose it matter what year the car is or if it is OBD 1 or 2 ,will all my stock sensors and throttle cable work and will i need the b18 gasket. i went to my local napa store and they said thier books only went to 1990 so will the 1990-91 integra b18b work. and i have heard some problems with the idel air control valve i think mine is on the intake manifold so that should't be a problem right.
Thanks

they do have the same bolt pattern obd1 b-series to 92 up civic D.. However even though its a few mms larger you really cant take advantage of the air flow since the intake manifold itself is only 56? 57mm.. I'd recommend porting the IM to match the throttle body.
As far as sensors go, ya the IACV is on the back on both models, and the map/tps are the same. The only problem that some people run into is the FIT valve can be a bit differntly setup. (I normally take it off anyways)

You just answered one of my questions there as well...thanks. Also along that line, is there possibly a larger intake manifold that can be used with both the z6 head and the ls throttle body? I hear the y8 manifold will work if ported out as well, but those are kind of hard to find around here, and pretty ugly looking as well. Anything off an older d-series perhaps like an a6 or a1 manifold?

If you are using an OBD-0 TB, you will need to get a MAP sensor from your old TB or one from a firewall.
There is a little nipple on the bottom of the OBD-I sensor even though it is mounted to the TB. I just used a small vac line and zip tie when I was using one.
