Axle problem

I was pulling my motor and couldn't get the axle out of the hub. Managed to get the motor out, but the axle is still stuck in the hub. I beat it with a mallet, pryed it and everything. Any ideas?

picklefork ftw. and soak that ---- with pb blaster if you didn't already. and hit on the hub and the axle with something big and metal to use the vibration to try to break the corrosion/binding. or a torch.

Negative Ghost Rider, I'm talking about one of those pulley removal tools (sorry the exact name escapes me, I ------ own 3 of them...) They have a flat base that you bolt down using the lug studs/nuts then a threaded pusher bolt goes into the middle. This then presses the axle out of the hub. You can then use a breaker bar or an air impact to press down on the bolt. If you throw a small piece of scrap under the pusher bolt, it won't fubar the axle so you can clean up the splines and reuse them. You can get em at HF for like 10 bucks I think.

crank pullley tool, works on axles too.

A BIG hammer and a punch also work..

oh i know what you guys are talking about now, yeah, i was thinking of fabricating some sort of plate and using the lugs to torque it down but that works too. ANd yes walter i got the bolt off, but the axle is just stuck in the hub for some reason.
