Re: axle nut Q
I erfer the 6 point my self but yeah 32mm or 1 1/4" if you can't find metric
|
Re: axle nut Q
6 point is better but ya 32mm or 1 1/4
|
Re: axle nut Q
if you can find a 6 point, yeah its way better. when i bought one, 12 point was cheaper and more readily available. didnt realize 1 1/4 would work... good to know. i couldnt find a SAE equivelant when i needed a 3/4" drive 36mm from my nightmare accord brake job.

Re: axle nut Q
I've snapped a couple 3/4" drive ratchets and a breaker bar trying to get my passenger side off before, and said ---- it. When I did the swap I just left it connected and pulled the spindle outwards to get the axle out of the tranny. I still have never removed that axle nut.
Next time, I'm gonna stop by a local shop and have em hit it with an impact first. |
Re: axle nut Q
its called a torch kids ;) takes about 45 seconds, and then a impact.

Re: axle nut Q
