auto to 5spd question

I'm gonna be doing an auto to 5spd conversion + b18a1 swap into a dx. I wanna save as much swap time as i can and do as many small things as i can now.. since the days are short.

My question is, can I use the 5spd pedals with an auto tranny? I ripped some pedals out of an ef part cars and the dash had to come out. I dun wanna have to worry about pulling the dash when im doing the b series swap. SO i wanna bang that out as soon as I can. I dun care about have a limp clutch pedal. I hope you guys get what im saying because on ht/hondaswap they dont lol

I want to swap in my 5spd pedals now while the auto tranny is still in, so that i don't have to worry about it later. Simplest way i can put it! thanks :P

yeah, you can do that. or i wouldnt see why not. (i have never done the swap) but i dont see why it wouldnt work. i think the only thing and like you said, you will just have a limp clutch pedal.

it goes like this.

the only difference in the brake pedal for the manual is the width, so you can just swap out the arm, the assembly thats already up there can stay in.

the clutch assmbly is a seperate unit, so it can go in whenever.

thats what i was gonna say, i always tell people that and then some dumb ass will get on and say that i'm full of ----. thats what i did, and you shouldn't have to take out your dash to get the pedals off or on.

Re: auto to 5spd question

what sensors? you just need to put the brake switch on because you don't need the clutch one. the clutch one just makes it so that you can't start it unless the clutch is pushed in. mine doesn't have it and i like not haveing to push the clutch in. just my .02

Re: auto to 5spd question

clutch assembly is seperate from brake and gas. Put it in whenever you want.

Swap the brake pedal ARM ONLY as was said. There's a spring at the very top of the brake pedal that is a bit of a bitch to get back in because it's so high up there. It helped me to take the gauge cluster out and get it from the top. Leave the gas pedal and that whole assembly in the car. Swap just the arm on the brake. ;)
