just trying to do some research on a motor swap for a buddy, im a d and b series guy, i know dick about the f-h series ----.
so the plan is a 92-95 h22 swap in a 95 obd-1 accord lx with an f22, heres what i have come up with so far.
-motor mounts are exactly the same
-the stock tranny/axles/shift linkage all bolts right up
-the stock f22 harness will plug right into the h22, except it's missing vtec wiring.
so the questions are-
1. am i right about this stuff or is there more that needs to be changed?
2.if i am right then you can use the f22 ecu and run vtec with an rpm activated switch and the only problem is the rev limiter right?
3. i dont know the code for the stock ecu, but is it chipable, even for one of those cheesey "mugen" chips or something, strictly to raise the rev limiter?
4.if im accurate then all he needs to do this swap is a complete motor, an rpm activated switch, and to chip the ecu right? thanks for any help fellas :)

- motor mounts are not exactly the same. you have to modify one of the mounts to make it fit.

- yes all that stuff bolts right up

- yes will plug right in

2) yes you can use the f22 ecu and run rpm activation but its gonna suck so just use a prelude ecu or get a p28/p72 and chip +tune that.

3) not sure about the code for the stock non-vtec ecu but its not chippable. see number 2.

I did the jdm h22 swap in my 90 accord. The drivers side and front "dogbone" mounts are from the accord. The rear and tranny mounts are prelude. Although using the accord tranny you might need to use the accord mount. When I did the wiring I had to switch a few wires around for the egr valve and a few pins to switch around at the ecu. I know I didn't give specifics, but if you really want to know email me or post for more info.
You don't want to use the stock ecu because of vtec fuel enrichment, controlling of the secondary butterflies in the intake manifold, vtec protection (in case of low oil press., cold engine, etc.), the accord ecu will not accomodate for the vtec solonoid, vtec oil press., knock sensor. Also with the wiring, you are going to need to extend a bunch of the sensor plugs. This is because the H22 is much bigger and has some sensors placed differently.
I'll remember more later. I still have notes and video I can find if you still need details.
