ARP rod bolt install???

Im doing a budget LS/Vtec, and it seems as if the biggest weakness is the factory B18A/B rod bolts.

How would I go about installing ARP's?

I searched here and honda-tech (worthless but worth the shot I suppose) and found nothing.

Thanks for the info in advance.

get a spare nut or two. jam them together on the head side of the stud threads. install until whatever arp recommends. finish installing head. torque to what, 80 ft lbs using arp washers and arp lube?

I think you may have head studs confused with the connecting rod bolts that I am asking about.........?

get a hot plate, $8 from Walmart.

rod bolts in the freezer overnight.

Heat the rod end on the hot plate, remove and insert the frozen rod bolts.

Re: ARP rod bolt install???

Is it possible for me to put them in without pulling the rod/pistons out of the block?

I know this is kind of ghetto, but I am on a tight budget with this.

How is pulling the motor going to cost you money?

it's going to cost him when he has to pay someone to fix what he broke in the first place by doing it himself and not actually knowing what to do....did that make sense??
