Re: ARP head stud washers help

I just had this problem as well. I have the Z6 headstuds in my block and ended up swapping to a Y8 head. 3 of the studs were too long and needed extra washers. I took a ride to the hardware store and found some 3/8" steel spacers in different thickness's that I was able to use in place of the washers. And I liked the idea of getting the thickness's that I needed instead of stacking up a bunch of washers and getting innacurate torque settings.
Just go to your hardware store and look for the spacers in the bolt section. If you can't find any I can pobably pick them up but they were a little expensive ($2.89 each).

Don't the Factory Head Bolts have washers on them? Or is the ID too small for the stud?
