Anyone know anything different between Apexi 3" N1 universal muffler VS any generic you can find on ebay. Assuming they are all muffler and 3".

Beside Apexi being at least 150 while ebay on is like 40-50 shipped anything else. apexi got log that is it, what about sound quality? The quality of muffler will be better on apexi i guess since its live to its name. Anyone know anything else?

 

it's all about the brand name to tell you the truth. like paying $700. for a apexxi cat back vs $190. for a catback at a muffler shop. those N1s' are straight through mufflers, just like the ones for $40 on ebay. brand name crap=rice.

 

The magnalfow is pretty sweet sounding... $75 for the mild steel and $90 for the stainless steel.

ya, those ebay ones are supposidly a copy of the apexi r1. sound like crap.
i would go for the apexi world sport exhaust. those are bad *** and sound nice.
actually i would go for the summit racing ones. d16z6forlife and ghettod sport those and they sound nice and look stealth. hit them up.

 

So have anyone heard from a apexi 3" fart can and an ebay fart can, anything differnt in sound quality on a turbo car?

Or not anyone runnning an ebay fart can with a 3" pipe no resenator can tell me how loud it is. Is it unbearable or what?

 

I would go with the cheapies. Or even a Summit muffler. Have a custom exhaust piping done and call it a day. On one of my hatches I had the exhaust done straight from the header to the muffler, mandrel, no crush bends. Worked great and was cheaper than these 700 exhausts. I'd go for a muffler and do custom piping or buy the knock off cat backs on eBay. ---- buying the real thing.

i have an apexi n1 knock off muffler and no catalytic with 2 1/2" mandrel bent exhaust. very tolerable on a turbo car.

 

I like my Hooker Muffler. 3 inch and was cheap

 

---- a fart can, I'm going to go with open dp on my turbo setup. my RS type muffler worked pretty good, a lot more quiet then no muffler.

 

Damn your hooker is 3 inches!? No wonder why she was so cheap and you'll never miss.
