Anyone use any of these kits before? They seem good but I'd like to hear of some experiences! I'll be boosting just wanted to see if these ching chong ones will hold up.

I'm rebuilding and replacing all seals too. It gets PRICEY with oem honda seals. I thought I'd look for an alt. I'm re-thinking on the headgasket...but the others...I think may work fine.

another plus is the the valve cover gasket and little rubber seal washers was like 30-40 bucks alone from autozone when i priced it and i paid 140 shiiped for a complete engine bearing gasket kit

I used the set for my d16a1, I blew it up

I used a set on my Z6. I have a ton of piston slap.

has nothing to do with the gaskets.

Re: Anyone use ebay gasket kits before?

Installed them on my old LS motor. Worked great till the next owner cracked the sleeve.

The valve cover gaskets always seem to have leaking issues, but I've had the same problem with fel-pro and any other "decent" brand non-oem gaskets. I recommend the ebay gasket kits to anyone and would trust them on my daily or weekend beater. Same ---- that you get at the parts store, just cheaper.

Re: Anyone use ebay gasket kits before?

Yeah, my VC and oil pan are a little leaky, but I've also had to drill out some oil pan holes and use fatty bolts because some broke off and got stuck.

black rtv ftw

Re: Anyone use ebay gasket kits before?

I rtved the ---- out of my VC and it's holding pretty good. Next oil change I'm taking the oil pan off anyway, I'd like to check my p2w clearances from the bottom, I'm just curious. I'll be rtving the ---- out of that bitch when it goes back on.

Yeah, next oil change I'll probably invest in some to stop the VC leaks I'm having with my less than year old gasket...

Oil pan one worked great for me thankfully.

didnt read the posts...

but i ran the second headgasket set on my CX... i didnt use all the gaskets, the valvecover looked shady. but it was the most complete gasket set i have seen, it even had both the P72 and PR3 intake gaskets...

Re: Anyone use ebay gasket kits before?

I bought that gasket set, so far I have ended up replacing both front and rear main seals (front was my bad) and the headgasket. I would highly suggest not using that headgasket they are pretty cheap.

Yeah I could see using the gaskets in some easiy to replace situations, but the gaskets from Honda are not all that expensive to use.

Re: Anyone use ebay gasket kits before?

I had no issues with the ebay headgasket. From seeing other headgaskets from the parts store, and comparing it to the factory LS one, it looked to be the same quality to me.

Re: Anyone use ebay gasket kits before?

the second seller, very quick shipping, but the kit I bought was mislabeled, so I have a VTEC valve cover gasket instead of non VTEC, I was refunded $5 for the mistake, no biggy I wanted the thinner HG anyways.

I've ordered two sets from the 2nd seller already. Everything worked out fine for me, and the shipping was very fast.

I bought a complete gasket set from seller domesticgaskets

I recieved it yesterday. I haven't installed any, but it looks like all of them will fit fine. I've had my share of crappy gaskets, and these do not look low quality at all.

The only thing I noticed was that the HG feels a bit thicker than usual. Maybe that's just me tho.

It could be. I've had parts store ones that were a lot thicker than most.

Compare it to the OEM one, I know mine was similar thickness if not the same.

Re: Anyone use ebay gasket kits before?

ive used those before. I refuse to use an aftermarket seal in critical locations; headgasket, rear main seal, cam seal. Seen wayy too many leak to risk re doing a job over again.

Same thing I thought before using it.

I was installing it on a car I was selling, so it wasnt a big deal really for me. But after I saw the HG last even with untuned boost and twice reused head bolts, I feel differently about them.
