any D16y8 guru's in here
well heres my dillemma
Im converting over to OBD1 so i can run CROME (98 civic hatch)
first thing I got was a Y8 manifold
no tb on it
swapped it on and used my Y7 tb for now
Y8 manifold has IACV on back(2 wire)
Y7 TB has IACV on it(3 wire)
I got the swap all done and I left the IACV on the back untouched until my 2 wire plug and y8 TB get here
I ran coolant lines back to my IACV on the Y7 TB and plugged it in
crank it up and I got the famous surging idle of a bad IACV
goes from 1400-2500 I checked for vaccum leaks and see nothing
there could be an open port but I dont think so i looked al over this thing
so i unplug the IACV and the idle changes to 1400-1600 rael fast back and forth
any idea what in the world is going on
how could the Y7 IACV go bad in 5 mins all I did was swap manis it never even left the TB its mounted to
