Amperage for VTEC solenoid
I am working on a circuit for triggering VTEC in a pm6, what I cant seem to find out is the amperage required to trigger the VTEC solenoid. Anyone know?
PS, I dont need voltage, I know the voltage is 12 volts, I am trying to build myself a relay from transistors to cut down on lag from a mechanical relay. I need the amperage to do some math. Also if i had a working multimeter, i would have used it, but mine is broken.

This is a post from another board explaining a little better what i am looking for
When you use turboedit and a pm6 it uses the A/C clutch to trigger the vtec, but its a neg signal. so you need a relay to trigger the vtec with a + current. A regular automotive relay would have enough lag tothrow you off be 300-400 rpm, in order to better tune the fuel maps I am building a relay using a transistor to trigger it with no lag.

why would you want to manually trigger vtec?
