Am I thinking logically here?

Ok so I have a 96 civic right.

187K on the Y7, still kickin, but I figure sooner or later....BOOOM. Plus, its REALLY slow (just parted out my 475 on pump gas EG, so i'm DYING here)

So I got a GSR longblock as part of a trade for my built motor and turbo setup. Picked up some 1mm overbore RS machines "b16" pistons and some ITR cams.

Soooo instead of just doing the good old obd2-1 with obd1 ecu, I decided to give this a try:

270cc lude injectors + 97 USDM ITR ecu...this way I can pass inspection and just drive around on the same ecu and not have to deal with swapping (even tho inspection is only once a year...im lazy)

So I figure with the 1mm overbore giving me a touch of timing leeway, and the extra 30cc/min of fuel, that should compensate for the increase in compression from 10.6:1 (US ITR) to 11.6:1 (My setup) and the slightly larger displacement, right? I'm pretty sure I could've just used stock injectors and still have been fine. I'm just not sure how aggressive the timing was on the stock ecu, to maybe cause some knock w/ the extra compression, but then again its an OEM computer so it can't be all that aggressive...

compression doesn't merit fuel increases all the time. if you're making a mutt motor you might want to get your ---- tuned instead of throwing parts together and hoping it works and doesn't blow.

the idea behind going slightly larger was to keep the cyl temps down a bit w/ the extra fuel, not because I thought it would run lean from the compression.

i had the injectors flowtested and they clocked in around 230cc/min anyway so there goes that idea haha.

not really a "mutt" motor, its basically a 1mm overbore jdm itr engine with 0.5 points more compression, that's why I picked up the ITR ecu...stock ecu with not too aggressive timing and spits some extra fuel.

i have a wideband and everything so we'll see how it goes.

its going to idle like ---- and wash the oil from the cylinder walls then start smoking. it will probably be slower than if you used the right injectors and get horrible gas mileage too.

use the right injectors, right ecu, and run 93 octane. it will be fine

or chip an obd1 ecu and run whatever injectors you want
