Alternators

Post number one.

I've been looking around the forum for quite a few weeks now. I'm a happy user of the search function BUT,

Alternators...

I read the post that shows you how you can turn D-series ones into B-series ones, how possible would it be to turn an OBD0 into an OBD1?

Would there really be that much involved?

I think someone made a write up a while ago on HT. it was from a OBDI d series to B, he did somethin to the bracket to make it fit.

Post two - I know nobody cares, but...

Yes.

It's HMT Hybrid that the topic is in. A D-series alternator was converted to a B-series one. This question has led on from there...

Has anybody converted an OBD0 to OBD1?

Re: Alternators

Unless the alternator has an external regulator, they are all the same. If you have an OBD2 one and you want to use it on your OBD1 harness, just chop the plug off and solder on the OBD2 plug.
