Alternator Wiring Problem

Not sure if this is discussed somewhere else, if so my bad for posting again but i have a jdm h22 in my 97 sh. Kept the obd1 alternator since i didnt have an obd2. Got a plug of an obd1 harness, not sure if it was a prelude or not but it only had three wires, my harness going to the alternator has 4 wires. Anyone have the diagram to convert this? Am i gonna have to repin the 4th wire into the plug since there is an extra slot there and i do have 4 post coming out the alternator? I have tried 2 batteries with the way i had it first wired and either the batteries are shot, which one is practically new or they are holding a charge. Once i get the car jump started it stays running but once i turn it off and back on the battery has no power. Just wanna make sure i have the wires right b4 i rule out the battery.

Re: Alternator Wiring Problem

So your trying to mix obd s to get this car running. pick which one your want to go with thats feasable financially and then check back. Your concept is almost totally wrong with the way i understand you. :X

Re: Alternator Wiring Problem

im using the obd1 alternator thats still on the motor, my wiring harness is obd2. I got an obd1 plug but it only has 3 wires and my obd2 plug had 4. 2 of the wires matched and from my research the white/red striped went to the all blue wire. That left me with the green/white strip which at first i wired together into the blue as well but battery was still staying dead so i pinned it into the extra hole on the plug where there was no 4th wire.
