What amp fuse is it? If the fuse is a good amprage then something is drawing too much current. What do you mean to small of wires, what wires? To small of wires shouldn't blow a fuse unless they have melted and shorted to + or -. Remember flow pops a fuse.

something is touching thats what the problem must likely is. look at your alternator and make sure nothing is striking an arc so best do it at night with the car on and lights off. the siz of the wires have nothing to do with it, make sure 10 amps is the right size cause that sounds pretty small for an alternator.

It does sound small, i know i have a 20 amp in my 89 civic or maybe i just stuck that big of one in there. if you blow that 20 amp you have wires shorted, sounds like that because it sounds like it blows when you are driving. Eh just shove a piece of aluminum foil in there, that will fix'er!! J/K. Ne ways, i am trying to help, i am not trying to be a jerk like so many others.

Also to explain your small wires thing, electricity flows like water, to small of wires won't allow as much amps to flow like bigger gauge wires. Just like beer flowing through a beer bong compared to sucking down a cold one with straw. Which one is going to give you the beer faster with less restriction. The little wires will only allow so much flow before they start melting and burning. The wires should be good enough, your fuse shouldn't blow unless a huge draw of current. Check to make sure your wires aren't grounding to something.

Volts = push or potential --> mug full of beer
Amps = flow --> how much beer is going through the straw
Ohms = restriction --> the straw itself or if you kink it looking at a hotty walking by

WHo drinks beers with straws anyway???
