Alternate to ARP MolyLube?
Going to be puttig the head back down and I used all my MolyLube up on the Bottem End Assembly. I only had a small little pouch.
Of course ARP says "Use only ARP MolyLube" but is this just to sell more, can I use plain Assembly Lube when torquing the head down on my ZC? I fiqured you would fiqure out that I am using ARP Head Studs! |
Re: Alternate to ARP MolyLube?
Engine oil works too, or any other moly lube. You just gotta torque it down a bit harder ;)

Re: Alternate to ARP MolyLube?
The instructions do state that you can using motor oil instead and gives different torque specs to use. If you want I can dig around and find mine and tell you what the torque specs are for motor oil.

Re: Alternate to ARP MolyLube?
Well I think I can find my sheet or on the website. Thanks. Probably use Assembly Lube.
