Default For all you b20 Non-Vtec out there.

I read that a b20b non-vtec head can benifit 7hp w/ LS Cams. just a FYI.

I beleive the intake ports are just slightly bigger, but the cast of the heads are the same.

Wonder if intake/exhaust valves are the same size or not?

not true. sleeves are different.

The extra .2l has to come from somewhere. Whether its increased stroke or bored sleeves.

b20 sleeves are a monolithic design, 1 piece, unlike the conventional B18/B16/D15/D16 sleeves. Even though they are "thicker" and a larger bore, they are very weak. Especially when any type of detonation comes into play.

B18a/b & B20b/z share basically the same bottom end, such as Crankshaft/Rods.

really? where did you get that info..? I could of swore johnny compared his B20b cams to his B18a cams and he said the B20's had a bit more lift? maybe not...

so the b20 block is weaker than the b18 ls block? I was looking to peice together a b20vtec for the civic. but I was told the b20 walls are to thin, and weak. is that true?

yep. b20 is weaker. But build up the b20 and youll rock a b18s socks.
