All you 97-2000 prelude gurus

my friend blew his 5 speed trans in his 97 prelude. We found another from a 2000. Will this be a direct fit? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is his prelude a base or one with the ATTS? If he plans on modding it go with a base tranny. The ATTS sucks ***. Yes it will fit BTW

he said special ed. 5 speed. Don't think they had special ed ----. It isn't a SH. Sounds like a base 5speed to me. Awesome....just needed the ok before they bought the trans.
