well jon i'm doing itb's so i don't really need the intake manifold. thinkin bout doing a z6 head. like a minime all motor. so bumpin the compression up can i just use another head gasket, advance timing, or do i have to do pistons?

to get 200 whp D15 your gonna spend $3000+ to sleeve the block to 78 mm, crower rods, pistons, offset ground crank, etc.

160-165whp is about the limit using stock sleeves, even with a .040" (76mm) bore on ITB's with a ported head and the largest cam on the market without going custom........Crane 251-0016.........

D15 on ITB's, CBR 954's 42mm, 13:1 compression, Bisi header, Crower rods, Crane 251-0016 cam (which I now have from Fred)

The cam has .425/.416 lift, Bisi used .480/.481 on his 10 second D15 a few years ago. This required deep valve reliefs cut to prevent smackage.

Look into my D15Baby8 build to get some ideas.....I'll be using all OEM parts and hope to break 150whp without ITB's. Most run scared when they pistons they choose are sticking about the deck by .052"

i dont know if its physically possible to have an all motor d-series to 200 whp. a high compression ls/vtec only makes like 180whp. if you are shooting for that...you are going to have to invest in pistons...i dont know how else you plan to get there. the z6 head will definetly help. then build yourself a small turbo kit....youll get to 200 hp no problem. the sleeves will be fine for 200whp....but those rods will have to go.

You wanna mke real power your gonna need compression. Listen to Bone on this one. The key is headwork and no its not that easy. I have messed with many different set-ups on all motor d 's and the simple fact is it wont be cheap nor easy. I think the wheeze jeff built is the best example of that. He made 130 whp but with a good header and better intake manifold would of been in the 150-155 whp range. Thats what is very doable and of couse thats a 1.6

i don't want to do the whole sleeving thing...what about fillin the block? can i just do that and throw like some 12:1 cr pistons in it with some rods? the machine work isn't a problem...my friend owns a machine shop...i can get that done...i just need to know what would be the best route. like i need to know what would be the best cc injectors, best cam, cam gear, fuel rail, fpr, pistons, rods ect. just a good set up to hit between 150 and 200hp. and we're prob gonna tune with crome
