Aerodynamics, nig nogs.

The only Cd I'm aware of is the CRX's... .32. Everything else sucks, so I'd place it mid-.30's or higher.

Good info Joe, but you know most of the people on here really aren't going to understand or care about aero on their cars unless they do some serious track driving. And for anyone with bodykits...those aren't aero peices ;)

Wierd I was acctually thinking about aerodynamics today, trying to figure out what honda chassis would be the best...Can't say I'd understand any info in the link but still wierd, maybe we are on the same brain wave today :S

Most people can understand on the redneck common sense level the big stuff that gives the best gain... look at what Mista Bone has done with his car... how much ET did he pick up with a rear bumper cover removal? A full half second? Bone is the epitome of common sense; I worshipped the guy back on the old Hybrid site, learned his lesson, and applied it to everything since.

.3 second, and 3 mpg :)

Just a old redneck playing with a Honda.

I was reading a Popular Science or Mechanics at the libary last week, they were talking about the possible 100 mpg cars. VW Lupo 3 cylinder diesel got 80 mpg but was dropped from production.

Byt the best thing I read, "Air flow UNDER the car is more responsible than the airflow AROUND the car for better Cg and gas mileage.

You removed the rear bumper cover and gained .3, wow thats awesome...I have heard of making a deflector plate or something to keep the air from being caught on it, cool :y

Look at the underside's of the new Ford GT40's...they have a solid carbon fiber plate on the underside so that nothing hangs down to cause air disturbances, then funnels it out through vertical splitters on the rear bumper. All in all it would be nice to try and slap a sheet of aluminum to the underside's of our Honda's to try and decrease the turbulence, but it's just not feasible with the exhaust and such hanging down. :-\

Think about the shape of an airplane wing...blunt entry point, then streamlining out. CRX is the closest out of all of them to this shape. This rule also applies to porting on Honda cylinder heads...knife edging the splitter is one of the worst things to do.

The CRX cut off tail is a better design than any other Honduh.

I've been wanting to cut out the sparetire well in my crx to make room to build a real diffuser w/vertical stabilzers. I'd like all of the highspeed stability I can get since square doesn't know which way is forward. Bone do you have any pics of Ryan's del sol?...
