advance and retarding timing (CRX)
 
when looking/facing towards the distributor cap.... do you turn clockwise or anti clockwise to retard ignition, thanks ;D

jus listen and you can hear you motor's rpm get higher or lower

lower = retarded?
which one? does anyone have alink, i know i saw a diagram of how to do it on the web once.

turning counter clockwise would advance, clockwise would retard.

yes you can just make sure you dont make wet contact with it (like your hand or the cap or the plug wires are wet, otherwise you will have the most shocking experience of your life) :)

I'll second that! My watch once touched the MSD tower on the distrib. cap and shocked the ---- outta me! I stood still for a few minutes right after tryin to figure out WTF just happened :-\

thats a good couple hundred volts... but its only for a split second.... its a very unplesant feeling...


also never ever ever!!!!!!! strip wires with your teeth... and i enphasize the never part.

Hell yeah that ---- hurts, dealing with 100,000+ Volts... very very low current so its not fatal but god damn :)
