i actually have a bad ass set up. i have an act heavy duty pp and the exedy disk. works great!!!. i cant get traction until 3rd gear. and it grips great. instant action for just a street disk. its been 3 monthes now and i skid 2nd gear scratches, and chirps in 3rd. clutchcityonline.com got mine there for 276 shipped.

same here i run a act street clutch and it grips for me, spins thru 1,2 and part of 3rd. its holding up at 10 psi on a d16a6 from a t3/t04e.

nothing wrong with exedy. i just bought one to go along with my turbo project and there are a few people i know from customcivics.com that love theirs. particularly the webmaster with a turbo Si. i've heard good things about act as well, but if you want to save money i don't think you'll have any problem with the excedy, specially <200hp

First of all before you change clutches ARE YOU PUSHING MORE THEN 290 HORSEPOWER?

If you're looking for a factory replacement, or a street clutch I have NEVER had a problem with clutchmasters (Onyx and I have installed these on over 4 cars in the 2 years, with no problems.) For performance clutches, ACT seems to be prime.

Again, don't be a stupid ricer and buy 'racing' gear for your Civic. Racing really refers to drag-strip racing, not driving 60 mph in a school zone.

maybe the reason i was wanting to change my clutch was because it was slipping??? and i didnt want to put a clutch in and smoke it a month later thats why i wanted peoples experiences with diff clutches.so maybe ill buy the exedy and put a set of type R floor mats in my car with the money i saved...will that make my car faster...how about a sir sticker??

Don't forget the Altezzas! Really, I have an ACT 4 puck with the HD pressure plate. Sudden engagement is the name of the game. I'm happy. Held up to more that my clutchnet 6 puck did.

Re:act,exedy,clutchmasters?????

whatever you do... Do Not get Exedy Clutch. I mean yes its good for a stock car. But if you want to boost your car... Exedy is not recommended. For one reason, out of my personal experience is that my car tends to shake violently when i shift at high rpm. It just cant handle the power the turbo is putting down to the wheels.

So i freaking ditch Exedy clutch and went with ACT 6 Puck Clutch once i got boosted. But the ACT clutch tends to make my legs hurts after long period of driving. It kind of pushes back.

For a boosted ZC which one is better the 4 puck disk or the 6 puck disk from ACT?
I read on RPI's site about they recommending the 6 pad disk for larger sizes??(sizes of what??)
And which one would be better though?
It says the 4 pas has harsher engagement etc.. I don't mind that

I'm happy with the 4 puck on my D16z6. I bet I'll work good for you too.
