should i use race or std bearing from acl i hear race one have bigger oil hole coating and more clearance then standard one how come it not a good ideal to run that block guard ? create hot spot ?

Re: acl sizing help

I would suggest buying bearings from honda, its a little more expensive, I went that route so I know I wont have any problems. if it is off a little you can just swap half a bearing for the size difference you are looking for and you should be set. which didnt make much sense to me but the size incraments are so tiny, motor shops and old guy machinists all tell me thats acceptable.

Yes, block guards do create hot spots and aren't a smart thing to run. Do a little research and I don't think they're are many knowledgable people out there anymore suggesting to use them (if there ever were).

Re: acl sizing help

ACL's standard size is supposed to be like a green bearing, but they seem to be a hair closer to the brown's lately. And since your journal sizes are kinda all over, probably better off just getting the according honda sizes and plasti-gauging them anyway.

Re: acl sizing help

acl comes in different sizes.

I've been running a blockgaurd for so many years now, I sleep better knowing its there, I just spun a bearing should I blame the blockgaurd for that?
