Im rebuilding my boosted GSR, after running it hard for the last 50k miles with ACL duraglides she finally let loose & spun a rod bearing. So now I in process of about to purchase my rod bearings & trying to decide what I ought to go with this time. SO what are some of yalls opinions

 

Honda OEM, but only if you care about the engine

 

Well my choices here are down only between the 2 types ACL's. Besides ACL has won my trust over, lasting me nearly 50,000 very hard driven miles .

 

Where-as OEM honda bearings have lasted me hundreds of thousands of miles through the years.

 

on a built boosted daily driver? Im not talking stock d15's

 

Run whatever fits, ACL, Clevite, OEM if you have the cash, doesn't really matter.

 

how are you running the correct specs with all green bearings(ACL) when almost all honda cranks have different journals

 

you can line bore/hone it to all the same diameter and also resurface the crank. I never done it but have read where stephan papadaskis did for his h22 AEM civic. Well thats years ago so maybe it was a trial thing. Prolly didnt work thats why he's a drifffffffer now

 

Because they all have a range of correct clearances. I have a mix of ACL and clevite in my engine ,fit fine.

 

they plastigage just fine for me.. that is spec.
