You could throw in some octane booster if you want to. That would help some.

octane booster adds .1 to a full tank, useless.

just dont boost for half a tank, then find some 91 (or higher)

stay out of boost, and don't be dumb again. I even run Non-oxygenated premium on my stock 88 DX commuter.

Some guy around here put 87 in his car the day he finished his boost install.

Shorest lived turbo kit if you know what I mean (he blew up his engine that nght).

Don't boost!. If your really scare(which you shouldn't be if you don't boost) retard your timing.

just start you car land let it idle in the driveway for a few hours until you burn most of the tank off (gass light comes on) then fill up with 93

Re: accidently put 87 octane...how bad is it for my car?

nvm, for some reason, the tube does not reach all the way to the gasoline, im guessing the tank is either shaped funny or have something blockin the damn tube, but anyways i brought one of those racing octane boosters, which they claim raises 5-7 octane numbers and hopefully it will be koo...

pull the plug in the bottom of the gas tank.

drain it.
the 5-7 ocatne point from octan boosters mean 0.5 to 0.7 ::) so u get urself a 87.7octane gas LOL

87 is all I ever run, even on 85 shot of nitrous............

Maybe when I get a 14B i'll change, but only planning 6 psi.

Why don't you get one of those goofy hand pump/syphon things and pump it into a can or another car?

Re: accidently put 87 octane...how bad is it for my car?

the car will run fine.

octane is used to deter detonation, so just fill up the other half with 92-93 octane to offset it some, and drive outta boost til the tanks gone.

Re: accidently put 87 octane...how bad is it for my car?

ive ran 89 octane on my ---- and i never had any problems...however i dont anymore so eh, just stay outta boost.

Re: accidently put 87 octane...how bad is it for my car?

Guess no one read the article in the July Sport Compact Car about octane boosters? They do work, some better than others and just not as well as they say. From their tests it shows NOS's booster works the best yielding about 93 octane.
