Default ? about fuel in a gsr

so I have question. probably a stupid one but oh well. I have a pretty much bone stock 95 gsr just the basics exhaust and a port&polish on the head ,and I know that acura suggests running only premuim I take it thats 91 octane. do you guys think that it will hurt or hinder the motor and power of the car running lower grade 87 or 89? I have already disabled the knock and o2 sensors using crome.(had a check engine I could not fix) so what do you guys think. I usually have run 91 or 93 thru it but I have a new job that I drive about 80 miles a day and was wondering if I could save some cash running the el cheapo gas.

How much $$ would you really save?

Just spend the extra $10 a week and suck it up!

Honestly if you do the math of (80 miles per day X 5)=400 miles per work week. You probably get 25+mpg's so your looking at no more then 16 gallons a week. If your only spending $.20 a gallon extra for premium your spending an extra $3.20 a week in gas at the most. Not that big of a deal imo.

I know it's not a huge deal but hey 200+ bucks a year is stil free money, main thing I just want to know does it matter what i use or not. oh I get about 29mpg right now. not to bad for winter I guess probabaly will be 33 or 34 in the summer, I always warm my car up about 10 mins before I leave. now on the other had my wifes gsr only gets about 26 but that things got freakin 310k on it. I am just glad it still runs as good as it does.

You said your running on crome, so the answer is,

it depends on your tune. It could very easily be tuned for 87.
